European Orders For Textile Products

Compared with May 2008, the euro area (EA15) industrial new orders index decreased by 0.3% in June 2008.

The index decreased by 5.4% in May.

In June 2008, new orders in the 27 countries of the European Union were reduced by 0.1% and 5.4% in May.

 

Compared with June 2007, the new industrial orders in the euro area decreased by 7.4% in June 2008 and 6.6% in the 27 EU countries.

 

In June 200, compared with May 2008, the euro area textile and textile new orders increased by 2.2%, and the 27 EU countries remained stable.

Orders for chemical and chemical products increased by 1% and 2% respectively.

 

In June 2008, according to the available member countries, orders grew in 9 countries and orders in 9 countries.

The highest growth rates were Latvia (+31.0%), Portugal (+8.0%) and Hungary (+6.1%). The most frequently reduced countries were Denmark (-21.8%), Ireland (-9.7%) and Germany (-3.5%).

 

Compared with June 2007, orders for chemical and chemical products increased by 3.8% and 3.2% respectively in June 2008.

Euro area machinery and equipment decreased by 2.8%, and the 27 European Union decreased by 0.6%.

Euro area textile and textile products decreased by 9.6%, and EU 27 countries reduced 8.0%.

 

In June 2008, according to the available member countries data, 11 countries increased manufacturing orders and 7 orders declined.

The largest increases were Romania (+27.8%), Latvia (+26.9%) and Lithuania (+22.9%), and the most frequently reduced countries were France (-16.9%), Spain (-6.5%), Czech and Germany (all reduced -6.0%).
